OUR WHY

Growing up, I watched my mother transform our house into a home. She had a gift for creating warm, welcoming spaces filled with beautiful décor, soft lighting, candles, incense, and comforting fragrances. Long before I realized it, she was teaching me that scent has the power to create memories, evoke emotion, and make a house feel like a sanctuary.

In 2019, my mother lost her courageous battle with breast cancer after it spread to her lungs. During her illness, she became increasingly sensitive to many of the candles she once loved because the smoke and ingredients from certain products irritated her breathing. Watching someone who found so much joy in fragrance no longer be able to enjoy it was heartbreaking.

After her passing, I found myself searching for something that felt both healing and meaningful. That journey led me to candle making. I immersed myself in learning about cleaner ingredients, safer fragrance options, and high-quality materials that could provide a beautiful scent experience while minimizing unnecessary additives.

What began as a way to honor my mother's memory soon became something much greater.

Nova Wick was born as a tribute to the woman who inspired my love for creating beautiful spaces and as a commitment to offering fellow candle lovers a cleaner alternative, they can feel good about bringing into their homes.

Every candle I pour is handcrafted with intention because I believe fragrance should do more than fill a room—it should create a moment of peace, comfort, and connection.
